LARAMIE, Wyo. (11/23/21) – University of Wyoming junior Melissa Mirafuentes ended her fall season in style. She logged an impressive showing at the Missouri Invite and as a result was named Mountain West Conference Diver of the Week on Tuesday.

This marks the second time this season that Mirafuentes has won the award. She also claimed it two weeks ago.

Mirafuentes placed in the top three in each of the three diving events in Missouri. She took runner-up in platform and 3-meter with scores of 288.00 and 329.80, respectively. Mirafuentes also placed third in the 1-meter event, tallying a score of 286.75.

Wyoming is off from competition until the New Year. It hosts Denver on Jan. 6 at Laramie High School.
