COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (December 8, 2020) – For the first time this season, Cowgirl diver Melissa Mirafuentes was named the Mountain West Conference Diver of the Week for November 30-December 6. It's the fourth time in her career she has been awarded the honor.
 
Mirafuentes, a sophomore from Guadalupe, Mexico, won the 1 and 3-meter in the Cowgirls dual wins over Air Force and Colorado State.

She recorded 18 points in both boards and qualified for her second straight NCAA Zone "E" Championships in each event.

In the 1-meter, she placed first in with a score of 306.85. She finished 56.35 points ahead of the second place finisher.

Followed that up with another first place spot in the 3-meter event. Mirafuentes finished with a score of 293.60 and was 38.20 points in front of fellow teammate McKenna Houlihan.

Both teams are scheduled back in the pool on Friday, January 15, 2021 against Air Force in Colorado Springs.
