TEMPE, Ariz. (April 6, 2019) – The Wyoming track & field teams finished their competition run at the Arizona State-hosted Sun Angel Classic on Saturday. The Pokes earned a pair of top-five finishes on the day.
"I thought the student-athletes that competed the past two days in Arizona did a very good job," said head coach
Bryan Berryhill. "Now we need to get ready for a meet in Fort Collins next week and then a very important couple of competitions in California in two weeks."
On the track,
Jerayah Davis finished fourth overall and second among collegians in the premiere section of the 100m dash with a time of 11.61. The only collegian to beat Davis was Oregon's Makenzie Dumore, a multiple time All-American.
For the Cowboys,
Colton Paller finished fourth in the discus with a throw of 166 feet, 10 inches, and followed it up with a 12
th-place finish in the shot out with a toss of 48-10.
Bryce Ailshie ran in the premiere section of the 800m run and finished 11
th with a time of 1:51.13.
The Pokes return to action next weekend at the Doug Max Invitational in Fort Collins, Colo.
