HAYWARD, Calif. (March 28, 2019) – The Wyoming track & field teams began their weekend last night at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic, hosted by San Francisco State. A pair of Cowboys ran two distance races with one setting a personal best and the other making his outdoor debut in an event.
Senior
Jonah Henry ran the steeplechase and placed 20
th overall in a field of 65 with a personal-best time of 9:09. 55, nearly three seconds better than his previous best time. Additionally, he was third among Mountain West runners.
Freshman
Jerald Taylor made his 10,000-meter debut on the track and finished in 30:26.58, good for 39
th in the field of 105. He finished fifth among Mountain West competitors.
The Pokes continue their weekend at the Stanford Invitational today in Palo Alto, Calif.
