LUBBOCK, Texas (February 9, 2019) – The Wyoming track & field teams had a solid day at the Texas Tech Shootout, including an event title and four total top-five finishes.
 
Addison Henry highlighted the day with a personal best shot put throw of 47 feet, 11.25 inches to win her flight. That throw is just two inches out of the Cowgirl all-time top-10 list.
 
In the long jump, Ja'la Henderson took fourth with a leap of 20-1.75, while Shayla Howell jumped 18-10.5 to place eighth. Jasmyne Cooper finished fourth in the 600-yard race, crossing the finish line in 1:23.93
 
For the Cowboys, Bryce Ailshie finished third in the 600y run with a time of 1:10.49. Jace Marx tied his season-best 200m time of 21.83 to finish 24^th. William Nolan leapt 22 feet, 1 inch in the long jump to place 13^th in the event.
 
The Pokes will continue the indoor season at the Mountain West Championships in Albuquerque, N.M., from Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 21-23.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (February 9, 2019) – Kacey Doner posted the fifth-fastest mile in Cowgirl history at the Mountain Lion Open, hosted by UCCS.
 
Doner finished first among all competitors with an altitude- and track-adjusted time of 4:54.74. Teammate Solana Quistorff finished fourth in the same event with a time of 5:00.56. Zia Macdermid finished fifth in the 800m race with a time of 2:24.89.
 
For the Cowboys, Leighton Lanier finished fifth in the triple jump by leaping 41 feet, 10 inches, while Phillip Thomas placed 10^th in the 200m dash with a mark of 2:00.20
 
The Pokes will continue the indoor season at the Mountain West Championships in Albuquerque, N.M., from Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 21-23.
