COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Feb. 27, 2019) – Six individuals from the Wyoming women's swimming and diving program were named to the All-Mountain West Team, the conference announced today. Senior
Samantha Burke earned the most honors, making three individual teams. The top-eight finishers in each event and the top-three relay teams from the MW championships earn the All-Mountain West designation.
Four seniors, one sophomore and one freshman earned All-MW accolades. Two Cowgirls received all-conference honors for the first time.
Senior
Isobel Ryan was named to the 100 backstroke All-MW team for the fourth time after winning her first career title in the event. Burke made the all-conference teams in the 200 IM and the 100 backstroke for the second consecutive year, while earning honors in the 200 backstroke for the first time in her career.
Sophomore
Hannah Mclean-Leonard earned back to back honors in the 100 butterfly after breaking the school on Friday. She also was selected in the 200-yard butterfly as well. Senior
Connor Tarver was chosen in the 200 backstroke for the second time in her career.
Senior
Peyton GrandPre made her first career all-conference team on the platform, while freshman
Lainee Jones was also a first-time All-MW selection in the 200 freestyle.
