LARAMIE, Wyo. – Wyoming men's golf returns to action following a team match play victory last week to compete in The Goodwin running March 29-31 in San Francisco, Calif. The event, hosted by Stanford University, will feature 54 holes of stroke play over three days at TPC Harding Park.

The Cowboys will play their first round on Thursday with Washington and UC Davis, with the first group starting at 8:30 a.m. MT off the first hole and each group following in 11-minute intervals. On Friday, Wyoming will begin teeing off at 1:25 p.m. MT off the 10th hole, again with the next four groups following in 11-minute intervals.

TPC Harding Park is a par 72 course playing 7,169 yards. Named after President Warren Harding, the course opening in 1925 and has hosted numerous PGA Tour events. In 2020, Harding Park will host the PGA Tour Championships.

The field features five teams ranked in the top 25 in the nation. Cal is the top-ranked team at No. 10 in the golfstat rankings. Oklahoma is just behind at No. 11. USC is ranked No. 17, just ahead of tournament host Stanford at No. 18. Arizona State at No. 21 rounds out the group. Mountain West opponents Nevada and San Jose State will compete, along with Front Range foe Northern Colorado.

Wyoming claimed the team title in the MacKenzie Match Play in its last outing, taking down Marquette 3-2 to earn its third tournament victory of the 2017-18 season. Last fall, the Cowboys took first at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational and at the Southern Dunes Invitational.

Seniors Drew McCullough and Glenn Workman will lead the Pokes after going undefeated last week in all three of their rounds. In UW's last stroke play competition, McCullough led the way with a three-round score of 210 (-6) to tie for 16th at the Arizona NIT. Senior Arron Lickteig tied for 43rd with an even-par 216, while junior John Murdock and sophomore Dan Starzinski tied for 66th with scores of 221 (+5).
