LARAMIE, Wyo. – Four Wyoming divers will compete at the NCAA Zone E Championships hosted by Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Ariz., beginning on Monday at the Douglas J. Wall Aquatic Center. The competition will continue through Wednesday, with events beginning at 11 a.m. MT each morning.

Sophomore Karla Contreras and junior CeeJay Harris will represent the Cowgirls, while sophomore Scotia Mullin and junior Ryan Russi will suit up for the Cowboys. Russi is appearing at Zones for the third time, Contreras and Mullin will be making their second career appearances at Zones, and Harris is a first-time competitor.

Last season, Contreras became just the second Cowgirl to ever qualify for the NCAA Championship in all three diving events after placing fourth on the three-meter, fifth on the one-meter and seventh on the platform at Zones. She was also the only diver from the Mountain West to qualify in all three events. Mullin followed up his Western Athletic Conference Championship on the platform with a third-place finish at Zones to become the first men's diver from UW to compete at the NCAA Championships since Mark Murdock in 2011.
Contreras and Harris are coming off All-Mountain West performances at the Mountain West Championships. Contreras finished second in all three events. Harris placed fourth on the one-meter with a career-best mark of 289.20 to earn the first All-MW honor of her career.

Mullin was named Western Athletic Conference Diver of the Year for his second season after earning two conference titles last week. Mullin earned his first WAC Championship on the three-meter and his second on the platform. Russi placed second on the three-meter and on the one-meter, and wrapped up the weekend with a fifth-place finish on the platform.
