LARAMIE, Wyo. (Feb. 28, 2018) – The Wyoming women's basketball team will close out the regular season on Friday against the Boise State Broncos. The game is set for a 6:30 p.m. MT tip time at the Arena-Auditorium. Live stats, video and audio can be found on the GoWyo.com website.
The Cowgirls enter the contest 20-8 overall and are in a three way tie with Boise State and UNLV with a 13-4 conference record. UW wins the regular season title with a victory or the Cowgirls could possibly be the second or third seed in next week's tournament. The seeding will depend on the outcome of the UNLV-Utah State game. Junior

Taylor Rusk led the way for the Cowgirls with ten points each. Senior
Natalie Baker followed with nine points and eight rebounds, while junior
Bailee Cotton had a team-high ten rebounds. Wyoming shot 19-of-48 (.396) from the field and 2-of-10 (.200) from beyond the arc. UW also committed 13 turnovers on the night.
Senior
Liv Roberts is averaging a team-high 14.0 points plus 6.0 rebounds per contest, which ranks 9
th and 14
th in overall games, respectively in the MW. She is followed by Rusk who is adding 9.5 points and 2.9 assists, while Cotton is chipping in 8.5 points and a team-high 6.3 boards per game. UW is shooting 41.8 percent (599-of-1433) from the field and 75.4 (300-of-398) from the free throw line. The Cowgirls are also outscoring their opponents 60.9-55.5 and out rebounding teams 33.8-31.5.
Boise State enters the contest with a 19-9 mark overall and 13-4 in MW action. Sophomore Riley Lupfer leads the way averaging 16.8 points along with 3.7 rebounds. Senior Shalen Shaw is averaging a team-high 7.0 rebounds while adding 9.1 points. As a squad, the Broncos are outscoring opponents 69.7-62.4 and out rebounding opponents 38.6-32.8. They return three starters and nine letterwinners to a team that went 25-8 overall, 12-6 in league play while reaching the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
This will be the 21st meeting between the two schools. The series is all tied up at ten. The last time the two teams met was January 6, 2018 with the Cowgirls coming out on top 66-51. Boise State is coached by Gordy Presnell who is in his 13th season with the program.
