PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. (Oct. 3, 2018) – Seniors Elisa Koonik and Tessa van Der Ploeg closed out their time at the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships with a victory on Wednesday morning in the qualifying doubles back draw.  
 
The pair earned a tough 8-6 win over Jackie Carr and Tatum Rice of Arkansas. Carr and Rice were seeded eighth in the tournament and 36^th in the Oracle/ITA preseason rankings.
 
"It was great to go out with a win," assistant coach Erica Medlin said. "The Arkansas team started off strong and we had a major comeback. We played aggressive and kept high energy throughout the match, which is the Cowgirl way."
 
The Cowgirl tennis team will be back in action on Friday-Saturday at the Jon Messick Invite in Ft. Collins.
