Liv Roberts recorded a team-high 14 points along with four rebounds in her season debut. Junior Sladjana Rakovic finished with a career-high 13 points and a team-high five rebounds, while sophomore
Taylor Rusk chipped in ten points. The Cowgirls shot 26-of-51 (.510) from the field and 14-of-16 (.875) from the charity stripe. They out rebounded the Grizzlies 30-27 and had 20 assists on 26 made baskets.
Monday's game will be the first regular season contest of the season for Montana. They went 2-0 in exhibition play with wins over Carroll College and Black Hills State. Montana returns all five starters and nine letterwinners to a squad that went 7-23 overall and 4-14 in the Big Sky Conference a year ago.
This will be the 20th meeting between the two schools. Wyoming leads the series 10-9. The last time the two teams met was Dec. 18, 2016 with the Cowgirls coming out on top with a 67-42 victory. The Lady Griz are coached by Shannon Schweyen who is in her second season as the head coach.
