Zach Halpern is in his first year as the Assistant Director of Development at the University of Wyoming in 2024-25. In his role, Halpern will help to guide the Cowboy Joe Club’s W-Club (former student-athlete fundraising), while assisting in the day-to-day growth of the CJC’s annual fund operations. Halpern will also direct Wyoming’s gameday parking activities.
Halpern arrives in Laramie after serving as a development assistant intern with Gator Boosters at the University of Florida. In his role with the Gators, Halpern was entrusted with high-level responsibilities typically reserved for full-time staff. Halpern co-managed the F-Club, UF's Letterman association, fostering relationships with former student-athletes and ensuring consistent engagement. Oversaw the F-Club room on football gamedays, providing exceptional experiences for members. He also co-coordinated UF's prestigious Hall of Fame Banquet, working directly with inductees to arrange lodging, travel, and event logistics. He also directed ticket sales, event marketing, and managed catering setup for the event.
At UF, Halpern also planned and coordinated the annual Basketball Boosters Reception, a signature event attended by over 600 participants, showcasing the importance of donor appreciation and engagement, while managing a budget of $50,000. He Collaborated with Gator Hospitality on football, basketball, and baseball gamedays, managing VIP check-in processes and premium area operations to ensure a high-quality experience for donors and guests.
Prior to his time in Gator Boosters, Halpern held a variety of roles, most recently serving as a short-term logistics intern with AT&T. In his role, Halpern designed data analytics tools to enhance efficiency and support financial decisions, along with presenting actionable insights to improve team collaboration.
Halpern also enjoyed a stint in operations support at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa from 2018-20, where he worked to ensure seamless communication between departments and deliver exceptional guest experiences. In his role, he supported daily operations such as guest itinerary coordination and event planning.
Halpern’s professional career began in the food service industry, where he served as a general manger with Moe’s Southwest Grill in Ovideo, Fla. In that role he achieved record-breaking sales while managing all day-to-day operations of his location.
Halpern earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Florida in May 2024. During his time at UF, he also competed as a member of the cheerleading team, where he was the recipient of the 2024 Florida Way award for integrity, leadership and work ethic. Halpern is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Sport Management at Troy University.
