University of Wyoming Athletics

A native of Cokeville, Wyoming Colter began his athletics administrative career as the compliance extern and then a game and event management intern at the University of Wyoming. After earning a Bachelors in Kinesiology and Health Promotion and a Juris Doctorate from Wyoming, Colter started his first full-time position as the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance at Eastern New Mexico University. After nearly a year at Eastern, Colter moved further west to be the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance at the University of New Mexico. The call of home proved to strong, and Colter returned to Wyoming as the Director of Compliance before eventually beginning his tenure as the Assistant Athletic Director for Academics & Eligibility also at Wyoming. Colter and his wife Lexi have three children, Hazely, Cinch and Taggart.
