Austin Pfeffer joined the Pokes as an assistant sports performance coach in February 2025 after spending nearly three years as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at St. Bonaventure University. Prior to St. Bonaventure, he spent two years at George Washington University as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach. Pfeffer also interned for two summers at the University of Louisville and one summer at Metro State University of Denver.

Pfeffer earned his Master’s degree in Exercise and Nutrition Sciences; Focus in Strength & Conditioning at George Washington University in 2022, and a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science at Kentucky Wesleyan College in 2020.

He holds multiple certifications including Strength & Conditioning Coach Certified through the CSCCa, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA, as well as certifications in USA Weightlifting, Functional Range Systems, and Reflexive Performance Reset.
