Before Wyoming: Whitaker spent the last two-plus seasons at the University of Missouri after transferring mid-season from NC State where he began his collegiate wrestling career … he compiled a 20-12 record as a Tiger in a reserve role at 165 … Whitaker accumulated the majority of his wins during the 2022-23 season when he went 12-7 with five falls and two major decisions.

High School: Whitaker was a three-time Missouri state champion, one at Booneville High School and another at Father Tolton Catholic High School.
