2016-17: Woodburn closed out his Cowboy career competing in nine duals during his senior season, in addition to three tournaments. He earned an 11-11 overall record for the Brown and Gold. Woodburn had six pins this season, including three at the Reno Tournament of Champions. Woodburn picked up two dual wins throughout the year. The first came against Cal Poly’s Yoshito Funakoshi by way of an 8-3 decision, and the second dual victory was against Trae Blackwell of Oklahoma. Woodburn won the match with a 2-1 sudden victory decision.

2015-16: Woodburn took part in a couple duals for the Pokes during his junior season, as he competed against Air Force and Nebraska. He also saw action at the Northern Colorado Open, the Cowboy Open and the Utah Valley Open. He finished the season with a 4-8 record with one fall. 

2014-15: Woodburn had a strong season in his first full season with the Cowboys. He recorded a 17-8 record. He recorded six pins and two tech falls on the season. He won the Rocky Mountain Collegiate Open going 4-0. He appeared in one dual for the Cowboys falling to No. 20 Trey Andrews of Northern Colorado in sudden victory. 

2013-14: Asked to step in right away as a mid-year transfer, Woodburn provided valuable contributions for the Pokes throughout the spring semester. Just days after arriving in Laramie, Woodburn faced Oklahoma's eighth-ranked Cody Brewer in a dual. The highlight of his campaign was a pin of Northern Colorado's Jesse Meis in 4:51 in the Feb. 7 dual. He went 9-14 for the season with three falls and four major decisions. 

Prior to UW: Woodburn finished his redshirt season at Oklahoma State with a 7-8 mark in 2012-13. He was fourth at the Oklahoma Open, and wrestled in the OCU, UCM and Lindenwood opens. He had five bonus-point wins, including three major decisions, a technical fall and a fall. 

High School: Woodburn was a four-time state qualifier and two-time state champion while at Claremore High School in Oklahoma. He compiled a 130-18 career mark and earned all-state status in 2012. 

Personal: Woodburn was born in Stillwater, Okla., and he is the son of Eddie Woodburn and Mitzi Holloway. He has two siblings, Tommy and Lantz. His father was an All-American wrestler at Oklahoma State in 1986.
