2024-25 (Redshirt-Junior): Saenz competed in two duals and two tournaments, compiling an 8-7 record at 133 pounds. He went 0-2 in duals and 8-5 in regular-season tournaments. He missed the last month of the season with injury. Saenz went 5-1 at the Reno Tournament of Champions.

2023-24 (Redshirt): Saenz redshirted his first year with the program. He compiled a 10-7 record at 133 pounds. Saenz competed in four regular-season tournaments, winning multiple matches at each competition. He boasted his first win at the NCAA level at the Younes Hospitality Open. Saenz won three matches at both the Younes Hospitality Open and the Cowboy Shootout.  

Before Wyoming: Before coming to Laramie, Saenz had a very successful career at Mt. San Antonio College, finishing as the runner-up at the CCCAA Championships in 2021 and 22. He helped his team to a CCCAA State Championship title in 2021 and a runner-up team finish in 22. Saenz also captured back-to-back CCCAA Southern Region individual titles in his time at Mt. San Antonio College. He also helped the Mounties to back-to-back CCCAA Southern Region team titles.

Personal: Saenz is majoring in kinesiology & health promotion.
