2024-25 (Sophomore): Brooks started at 141 pounds, compiling a record of 15-17, which included a 4-10 mark against ranked foes. He went 9-9 in duals and 5-5 in regular-season tournaments. Brooks was selected as an NCAA Championships alternate. He ascended to as high as No. 18 in WIN’s poll. Brooks, who was unseeded, placed eighth at the 2025 Big 12 Tournament with an upset of No. 7-seeded Haiden Drury (Utah Valley). Brooks ended up going 1-3 at the conference tourney. He was named an alternate to the 2025 NCAA Championships. Brooks logged 10 bonus-point wins, half of which were pins, which was second highest among Wyoming starters. Brooks’ upset wins were over No. 29 Shannon Hanna (Campbell), No. 28 Nash Singleton (Oregon State) and twice over Drury – once during the regular season when he was ranked No. 16 and again in the conference tourney when he was No. 18.

2023-24 (Freshman): Brooks compiled a 14-8 record, which included a 2-7 mark against ranked wrestlers. He missed time in the middle of the season with injury. Brooks finished eighth at the Big 12 Tournament, holding serve as the No. 8 seed. He broke into the starting lineup following the season-opening dual. Brooks cracked into the rankings midway through the season and resided in the No. 30-33 range the rest of the way. He boasted his first-career ranked win in impressive fashion, logging a technical fall of North Dakota State’s No. 28 Gavin Drexler. Brooks beat Drexler again at the conference tournament. He recorded 41 takedowns, which was tied for second on the team and held the team-high in bonus-point win percentage at .500. Brooks’ 1.86 takedowns-per-match average was the best on the team, and he also registered four technical falls, which was third best on the squad. He went a team-best 8-3 in duals at 141. Brooks added a 1-3 postseason record and was 5-1 in regular-season tournaments.

High School: Brooks capped off his prep career at Collinsville High School by winning his third consecutive Oklahoma state title, adding that to his three regional titles. He arrived in Wyoming as the 18th ranked wrestler in his weight class. Brooks finished fifth at the 2021 Mid-Nationals Tournament.
