Devin Schroder

Devin Schroder enters his third season as an assistant coach. He primarily works with the lightweights. In Schroder’s time as a coach, Wyoming has produced two All-Americans, eight NCAA qualifiers and one Big 12 Champion.

The 2024-25 season saw Wyoming finish 22nd at the NCAA Championships following a 12-6 dual season. Joey Novak (197) captured an All-American honor with a fifth-place finish. Four other Pokes punched a ticket to NCAAs, as well.

The 2023-24 season saw Jore Volk (125) capture a Big 12 title along with All-American status at the NCAA Championships. Gabe Willochell (149) and Novak (197) also made it to NCAAs, both logging a pair of wins once there.

Prior to Wyoming, Schroder spent one season as an assistant coach at Cleveland State. Schroder helped the Vikings to a seventh-place finish at the 2023 MAC Tournament, finishing with a program-record seven placers. Along with the conference tournament success, Schroder helped coach the Vikings to seven dual wins, including six conference victories.

Prior to coaching, Schroder wrestled at Purdue where he was a four-time NCAA qualifier, four-time Big 10 placer and two-time Big 10 finalist. Schroder earned All-American honors in 2020, being seeded fifth for the NCCA tournament before it was cancelled due to COVID. In 2022, Schroder was named Purdue’s Joe Patacsil Leadership Award recipient and was honored on the Big 10 All-Academic team. Schroder finished his Boilermaker career with 96 wins, ranking 16th in school history in win percentage.

Schroder graduated from Purdue in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and a master’s degree in technology leadership and innovations.
