He finished the year with an 18-14 overall record with six pins and four major decisions. Stroh went 11-7 against tough Big 12 opponents. He also opened the season by winning the Cowboy Open. 2014-15: Stroh continued to be one of the most talented young wrestlers in the country during his sophomore campaign. He qualified for his first NCAA Championship sporting a 1-2 record. He finished the season with an impressive 23-10 record with a team-high eight pins. He finished second at the NCAA West Regional/WWC Championship earning Second Team All-WWC honors. For the season, Stroh recorded bonus points in 12 of his 23 wins. He recorded a 9-4 record in duals for the Pokes. 2013-14: Stroh exceeded expectations in his first collegiate season, winning four tournaments and going unbeaten versus conference foes. He was the 184-pound champion of the NCAA West Regional, going 2-0 to earn his first berth to the NCAA Championships. Stroh became just the 12th freshman in program history to earn a conference title. He went 1-2 at nationals to end his season. The talented rookie began the season 7-0 with titles in the Cowboy and Northwest Opens. He placed fifth in the Las Vegas Invitational, and won the Reno Tournament of Champions. After a tough start, he finished 8-4 in duals and was 9-0 against Western Wrestling Conference opponents. He posted five wins over ranked opponents, along with eight falls and five major decisions. For his efforts, he was named the WWC Freshman of the Year. Additionally, D1CollegeWrestling.net named Stroh as the WWC Rookie of the Year. Stroh posted a 3.03 GPA in business administration to make the WWC Coaches' Honor Roll, the the second-straight season he made the squad. 2012-13: Redshirting in his first year in the program, he finished with 16 wins in 17 matches, winning 10 of those by fall to tie for second on the team. Eleven of his 16 wins came via bonus points, and he was first in four tournaments. He began the season with a second-place showing at the Cowboy Open, but reeled off first-place finishes at the Northwest, UNK Holiday Inn, Battle of the Rockies and Utah Valley Opens. To end the season, he won 13-straight bouts. Stroh was recognized by the UW coaching staff for keeping a GPA above 3.0 for the season. Stroh went 3-2 at 84 kilograms (185 pounds) at FILA Junior Nationals in April 2013. High School: Stroh was a two-sport star for Chinook High, lettering in football and wrestling all four years. He was a four-time state champion in wrestling and won one championship with football. He was ranked third in the nation in wrestling his senior year, and strung together an incredible 101-consecutive wins, all by fall. He won the Reno Tournament of Champions crown as a freshman and sophomore, and finished sixth at the ASICS/Vaughan Junior and Cadet National Championships. In high school competition, he went 156-2, winning 146 bouts via fall. Stroh was accomplished in the classroom, too, and was a three-year honor roll recipient and Academic All-State honoree his last three seasons.Personal: Stroh was born in Powell, Wyo., and he is the son of Robin and Lisa Stroh. He has one sister, Rebecca, and his older brother Robert wrestles for Wyoming. He is pursuing a degree in agricultural business at UW. He received interest from Nebraska, Iowa, Boise State and Oregon State.
