Biography

Junior (2022)
Appeared in 64 sets and played in 20 matches. Tallied 80 digs (1.25 per) and had eight assists. Had a season-high 14 digs against New Mexico (9/29).

Sophomore (Fall 2021)
Smith played in 38 total sets in 2021 and appeared in 14 matches. Averaged 1.21 digs per set and had 11 in the match at San Jose State (10/7). Notched three assists on the year.

Saw action in four matches in the spring of 2021. Had a block and a kill in seven sets.

High School
Smith was a two-time Honorable Mention All-State selection at Gering HS and was also a First Team All-Western Conference honoree following her senior season and was a two-time second team honoree (sophomore and junior). Smith was also a two-time member of the all-region team. A 2019 team captain at Gering, Smith was a two-time Defensive Player of the Year selection and was also a highly decorated tennis student-athlete while also participating in basketball and track. In addition to her athletic accomplishments, Smith was a member of the NSAA Academic All-State Team in both volleyball and tennis and was her class' Valedictorian.
 
Personal
Smith was born September 13, 2001 and is the daughter of Gary and Crystal and has one brother, Zach. Plans to major in Secondary Education.
