Becky Baker

Former Cowgirl student-athlete Becky (Stewart) Baker enters her sixthh season with the Cowgirls in the 2025 season, and her second as Associate Head Coach. Prior to arriving at Wyoming, Baker spent five seasons as head coach at Laramie High School.

During her time with the Lady Plainsmen, Baker was a three-time Wyoming Coach of the Year on the West side of the conference, receiving the honor each of her final three seasons. While at LHS, Baker helped lead her teams to five top-five finishes at the state tournament with two fifth-place, two third-place and one runner-up finish.

In her tenure at UW, Baker has helped coach six All-Mountain West honorees and seven CSC Academic All-District Team members. In 2023, Baker was on staff for the Cowgirls' first postseason appearance since 2019, as Wyoming was selected to play in the NIVC.

As a player at UW, Baker was a two-time Mountain West All-Conference honoree (2012 and 2013) and a three-time Mountain West All-Academic Team member (2011-13). Until 2019, when Madi Fields surpassed her, Baker was the program record-holder for most career digs at Wyoming with 1,683. She still holds the single-season record at UW with 624 digs in 2013 and recorded three seasons that rank in the top-10 for single-season digs. Baker graduated from Wyoming in the spring of 2015.
