Biography

2015-16 (Redshirt Freshman): Amanda Hinchey played in three tournaments this season for UW • She shot a season-low 78 (+6) during the second round of the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic, and finished with a 242 (+26) • At the Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate, Hinchey shot a three-round total of 255 (+39) • She played as an individual at the Grand Canyon Invite, posting a 248 (+35) and had her best finish of the season tied for 64th.

2014-15 (Freshman): Redshirted.

High School: Hinchey joined the Cowgirls as a six-time letterwinner at Kelly Walsh High School in Casper, Wyo • Had an outstanding prep career under head coach Craig Marsh • Won the Wyoming state individual championship in 2012 • A two-time All-State selection and an All-Conference honoree three times • The conference individual championship this past fall and led her team to back-to-back conference team titles in 2012 and 2013 • Excels in the classroom as a member of National Honor Society • Earned the Scholastic Achievement Award three times and was a member of the Student Council.

Personal: Hinchey is the daughter of Bruce and Karen • Has one brother, Austin, who played golf at Texas Pan-American • born on July 12, 1996 • Plans on majoring in political science.
