2007-08... Shaylee finished out her indoor career with a photo finish at the Mountain West Conference Championships when she was edged out by TCU's Kishelle Paul by less than one-thousandth of a second in the 60-meter hurdle event. She would not be denied during the outdoor Championships when she beat Paul by two-tenths of a second and her first Conference Championships in her career. She would be honored as the Most Outstanding Track Event Athlete as voted on by her teammates and coaches, along with being named to the All-Conference team during the indoor and outdoor seasons. She provisionally qualified for the 60-meter hurdles during the indoor season and qualified for Regionals in the outdoor season. Academically she was selected to the Academic All-Conference team for the second year in a row.

2006-07... Shaylee was selected to the All-Mountain West Conference team for both Indoor (60m hurdles) and Outdoor (100m hurdles). Along with Shaylee's success on the track she was also selected to the Academic All-Conference team for 2006. Babbitt set her personal best last year in the 60m hurdles at the MWC Championships in Albuquerque, New Mexico taking second place.

2005-06... An All-MWC selection for her second place 100m hurdle finish at the Outdoor Championships in Provo, Utah and her third place finish in the Indoor 60m hurdle.

2004-05... As a member of the team, Babbitt's top finish was at the Air Force Invitational where she finished ninth in the 60m dash with a time of 7.94.

High School... While attending Southeast H.S, Babbitt was a three sport athlete, lettering four times in both volleyball and track, as well as lettering three times in basketball. She was a three time All-State athlete in track while being All-Conference for two years in volleyball and basketball.

Personal... She was born June 4th, 1986 in Torrington, Wyo. She is the daughter of Casey and Gail and has one older brother Getty, who ran track at the University of Soiux Falls.
