Biography

2017-18: During the indoor season, had a career best shot put mark of 36-9.5 at the Power Meet to finish fifth… Had a season-best weight throw mark for any Cowgirl with a throw of 58-6 at the Mountain West Indoor Championships to place sixth… During the outdoor season, had a career-best hammer throw mark of 198-6 at the NCAA West Preliminary, which is the third-best throw in UW history… At the MW Outdoor Championships, placed fourth in the hammer throw with the same mark of 198-6… In the classroom, earned academic all-Mountain West honors.

2016-17: Recorded one UW all-time top 10 mark and received one All-Mountain West selection…indoors, specialized in the weight throw, winning the event at four meets…posted a season-best 62-6.75 to win the event at the Rocky Mountain Classic…placed eighth in the weight throw at the MW indoor championships…outdoors, specialized in the hammer throw and posted top-five finishes at seven meets…won the event at the Mark Faldmo Invite, throwing 188-9…posted a personal best of 197-2, the No. 3 mark on the UW all-time list, to take third place at the MW outdoor championships and receive All-MW honors…advanced to the NCAA West Preliminary Round in the hammer throw, where she took 24th at 191-11…received her second Academic All-Mountain West award for her work in the classroom.
 
2015-16: Crowned conference champion in the weight throw and collected two UW All-Time Top 10 marks during the season…won the weight throw at four of her six indoor meets…started her Wyoming career brilliantly with a toss of 64-3.25 at the Power Meet, the No. 6 UW All-Time Mark…subsequently earned MW Women’s Field Athlete of the Week honors…tossed 62-10.5 at the MW indoor championships, winning the conference title…outdoors, finished top-three in the hammer throw at all five of her meets…posted a PR of 185-6 in the hammer throw at the CSU Dual, winning the event and recording the No. 10 UW All-Time Mark…named MW Academic All-Conference in the classroom.
 
Before Wyoming: Finished the 2015 high school season ranked third in the nation in the hammer throw with a personal best of 182-8...was a two-time Junior Olympic national champion in the event and set a meet record with a throw of 182-2...won the California state title in the event as a senior...also placed fourth in the weight throw at the Simplot Games as a junior...was a member of the Golden State Throwers during her prep career...owned personal bests of 182-8 in the hammer, 53-6 in the 20-pound weight throw and 143-5 in the discus...coached by Robert Longan and Mike Curry...in the classroom was a member of the honor roll all four years...also a member of National Honor Society.
 
Personal: Daughter of Edward Annan and Sarah Malm-Annan...born on Dec. 22, 1997, in Accra, Ghana...has one brother, Jeffrey...majoring in physiology at UW...also recruited by Fresno State, Cornell, Duke and Brown.
