Junior (2021-22): Participated in butterfly events and the individual medley … had a fruitful day at the Western Athletic Conference Championships (2/24/22) en route to an all-conference honor in the 200-yard fly … swam career-best times in the 200-yard butterfly, 1:46.74, the 200-yard IM, 1:49.18 and the 400-yard IM, 3:55.06 … registered a season-best time of 52.82 in the 100-yard butterfly in a dual meet against Denver (1/15/22).

Sophomore (2020-21): Boasted numerous season- and career-bests at various different meets … posted a successful Western Athletic Conference Championships (2/26/21), swimming a career-best time of 1:51.04 in the 200 IM and season-best times of 3:58.09 in the 400 IM and 1:48.82 in the 200 butterfly … also recorded a season-best time of 52.11 in the 100 butterfly in a tri-meet at Air Force (1/16/21) … registered a season-best time of 2:13.10 in the in the 200 breaststroke in a dual against Hawaii (1/29/21) and another in the 500 freestyle in a dual at Air Force (1/15/21), swimming a 4:49.52. 

Freshman (2019-20): An All-WAC performer in the 200 butterfly…participated in 11 events overall and five duals…turned in a career-best time of 1:48.14 to place sixth in the 200 butterfly…at the same meet, he finished the 200 IM in a time of 1:51.38, while placing tenth in the 400 IM with a time of 3:57.69..his top time in the 400 IM is 3:55.98, set at the Mizzou Invite.

High School: Diaz was a two-time Outstanding Swimmer of the Year and 110% Award winner while swimming club for Occoquan Swimming Inc…was coached by Aaron Dean…was also named the Male MVP for the Ashland Stingrays Swim Team…a qualifier for the Winter Junior Nationals.

Personal: Born October 3, 2001 in Fort Belvoir, Va…the son of Milton and Florence Diaz…has an older brother, Peter, who swam at the University of Delaware…majoring in management.
