Hometown Biography Summary Biography Sophomore (2016-17): Moore recorded his top finish in the 1000 freestyle against Colorado School of Mines, placing second with a time of 10:05.72. All four of his races at the 2017 WAC Championships were season-best times, and three were career-best marks. His marks of 4:35.89 in the 500 freestyle, 9:38.57 in the 1000 freestyle and 4:04.68 in the 400 individual medley were all the fastest of his career, while his time of 16:01.69 in the 1650 freestyle was the fastest since the 2016 WAC Championships. Freshman (2015-16): Moore opened his freshman campaign with a third place finish in the dual with Denver. He placed third in the 1,000 free touching the pads in 9:55.20 for the Pokes. A few weeks later into the season he took fourth in the same event against Air Force with a 9:54.86. Against No. 14 Utah, Moore competed in the 500 and 1,000 free. He placed fifth in the 1,000 (9:52.47) and eighth in the 500 (4:51.99). He swam a 9:47.17 in the 1,000 free against Pac-12 member Arizona State, just before claiming a second place finish in the event against UNLV with a mark of 9:42.84. High School: Kyle is relatively new to the sport of swimming and shown a great amount of improvement qualifying for USA Swimming Junior Nationals this past summer. He has helped lead Carlsbad High School to back-to-back section championships during sophomore and junior seasons. On the club side, he swims for North Coast Aquatics and coach Jeff Pease, where he also trains with Cowgirl junior Lauren McClure. Personal: Kyle is the son of Gene and Sharon Moore and has one younger sister, Danielle. He is majoring in English.
