Hometown Biography Summary Biography Junior (2016-17): Helped UW defeat Colorado School of Mines in January 2017 by placing fifth in the 50 freestyle with a time of 25.76… placed fourth against Mines in the 100 breast stroke with a 1:12.38… Placed seventh against Mines in the 100 butterfly with a 1:02.45. Sophomore (2015-16): Covington participated in a number of meets for UW during her sophomore campaign. She recorded a 1:01.78 in the 100 fly against Border War rival Colorado State. In the double-dual with Air Force and NAU, Covington took part in the 50 free (25.70) and 100 fly (1:02.58). Freshman (2014-15): In her first season as a Cowgirl, Covington saw limited action. She was a part of the fifth place 400 free relay team in the dual against Denver. Against New Mexico, she placed 10th in the 100 backstroke with a final time of 1:03.87, and 10th as well in the dual with New Mexico State in the 50 freestyle. High School: Graduate of El Dorado High School High School. She was a two-time regional finalist and placed in the regional meet in four-consecutive seasons. Also during her junior and senior season she earned a spot as a conference finalist. Covington earned All-Region honors during her sophomore season. Also excelled in the classroom earning an academic all four years of high school, as well as earning Honor Roll honors in four years. Personal: Daughter of Steve and Dana Covington.
