Freshman (2021-22): Participated in spring freestyle and backstroke events … posted a pair of career-best times at the DU First Chance Meet (2/12/22), swimming a 56.78 in the 100-yard freestyle and a 1:03.25 in the 100-yard backstroke … also recorded a career-best 24.84 in the 50-yard freestyle in a dual against Colorado Mesa (11/5/21). High School: A four-time letterwinner while swimming at Laramie High School ... McPherson is an All-Conference and All-State selection in multiple events ... she claimed individual titles in the 50 and 100 freestyles along with being on the 200 free and medley relay teams that took home titles at the Wyoming State Championship Meet. Her time of 23.42 in the 50 free was good enough to meet the standard for All-American Consideration with NISCA ... her performance garnered her Athlete of the Meet and the Athlete of the Year honors by the coaches ... McPherson helped the Lady Plainsmen score 370.5 total team points, which clinched a fourth straight 4A Wyoming High School State title ... she has also been a part of four straight conference and city championships ... McPherson is also an excellent student, as she's been involved in several scholastic activities. Personal: McPherson is the daughter of John and Treasure and has a younger sister, Olivia, who swims for the University of South Carolina.
