University of Wyoming Athletics

Sam King, a native of Missoula, Mont., competed in the butterfly and individual medley during his four seasons as a Wyoming swimmer from 2004-08. King earned First Team All-MW honors in 2007 and 2008, as well as Academic All-Conference honors.

After finishing his swimming career with the Cowboys, King coached at Missoula Aquatic Club, King Aquatic Club and West Coast Aquatic before returning to Wyoming as a volunteer assistant in 2012. King spent two years in that role before transitioning to a graduate assistant position for one season. He then spent two years with the Sierra Marlins Swim Team, and now returns for his second stint on the Wyoming coaching staff.

King is currently a student in the University of Wyoming’s College of Law.
