Jim Bossert

Bossert was named assistant coach for the Wyoming swimming and diving teams on June 27, 2017. 
 
During the 2016-17 season, Bossert served as a volunteer assistant coach at the University of Alabama, working specifically with the middle distance and distance swimmers.  He took over the breaststroke and individual medley group in February 2017 prior to the SEC Championships, as the full-time group coach was out with an illness. 
 
His other coaching experience included working with Crimson Tide Aquatics in Tuscaloosa, Ala. (2016-17) and the California Baptist University Group Swim Team (2015).  He also worked at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs during the summers of 2012-14.  Bossert grew up in Colorado Springs, Colo., and started swimming at the age of seven.  While in college, he knew he wanted to become a swim coach.
 
He swam collegiality at NCAA Division III Grove City College in Grove, City, Pa., from 2011-15, and was elected a team captain his final season.  He completed his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Grove City College in May 2015, and earned his master’s degree in kinesiology with an emphasis is exercise science in May 2016 from California Baptist University in Riverside, Calif.  Bossert is married to Ali, who he met while attending Cal Baptist.
