Biography

At Wyoming:
Junior- Lehnertz continued to be one of the top swimmers in the MWC her junior year. She was named Second Team All-MWC after placing fifth in the 200 freestyle at the 2006 MWC Championships. She also placed 14th in both the 100 and 500 freestyle events. She swam on four relay teams, the 200, 400 and 800 freestyles and the 400 medley. She served as a team captain her junior year. She excelled in the classroom, being named Academic All-MWC and a MWC Scholar Athlete for the third consecutive season. She earned her third letter award.
Sophomore- Lehnertz had a great showing at the 2005 MWC Championships where she helped earn the Cowgirls 136 team points, swam on two school record setting relays and earned both First and Second Team All-MWC honors. The new relay records came in the 200 freestyle relay, as the Cowgirls placed second and earned first team honors, and the 400 medley relay. She also swam on the 400 and 800 freestyle relays. Individually, she placed sixth in the 200 freestyle, 11th in the 100 freestyle and 13th in the 500 freestyle. She was named the MWC women's swimmer of the week for the first time in her career after leading the Cowgirls to dual wins over CSU and Air Force in the same weekend. On the weekend, she placed first in four individual and two relay events. Heading into her junior year, she has the second fastest time in UW history in both the 100 and 200 freestyles. She is also a member of the UW record holding 400 medley, 200 freestyle and 800 freestyle relay teams. She continued to excel in the classroom and was named MWC Scholar Athlete and Academic All-Conference for the second consecutive year. She earned her second letter award.
Freshman- Lehnertz had a big meet at the 2004 MWC Championships where she helped set new school records in both the 800 freestyle relay and the 200 medley relay. She also swam on the 200 freestyle relay team and the 400 freestyle relay team. Individually, she placed 13th in the 200 freestyle, 15th in the 100 freestyle and 25th in the 500 freestyle.

High School: An All-America selection in 2002 and 2003. A member of the Colorado State Champion swim team in 2001 and 2002. A team captain her senior season as well as a four-time letterwinner in swimming. An Academic All-American in 2002 and 2003.

Personal: Born July 11, 1985 in Englewood, Colo. She is the daughter of Mark and Barb Lehnertz and is majoring in secondary education-chemistry.
