Megan McGuffey Skinner is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. She completed a bachelor’s degree in Family & Consumer Sciences with a concentration in Dietetics from the University of Wyoming (UW), where she played basketball from 2005-2009. She was a member of the 2007 WNIT championship team and 2008 NCAA tournament team. She is also a member of the Cowgirl 1,000-point club.
After completing a dietetic internship through Tulane University, she worked as a clinical dietitian at Laramie Pediatrics and Internal Medicine and then as campus dietitian at Boise State University. She completed her Master of Health Sciences degree with an emphasis in Health Promotion from Boise State University. Megan has worked in community nutrition as the Assistant Director of the Cent$ible Nutrition Program, Wyoming’s SNAP-Ed/EFNEP funded program, and in academia as the Director of the Didactic Program in Nutrition and Dietetics at UW.
As the Director of Performance Dietetics for Olympic Sports, Megan works with all Olympic sport student-athletes providing nutrition counseling, nutrition education, and performance nutrition. She also oversees and manages the HAPC and AA Fueling Stations that provide performance and recovery nutrition for all UW student-athletes.
