Career Stats Career Statistics Biography Summary Biography UW This Season: Muhammad missed most of spring drills due to an injury. He will add a veteran presence to the linebacker corps in the fall. 2014: Muhammad appeared in seven games. His season was cut short due to an injury suffered against Colorado State. He recorded two total tackles on the season. 2013: Muhammad was a productive member of the linebacking corps and had eight tackles in 11 games. His best game came against Colorado State, when he posted two tackles. He made at least one stop in seven games. Junior College: Muhammad played at Iowa Western Community College in 2011 and redshirted in 2012. Iowa Western captured the 2012 National Junior College Athletic Association national championship, with a perfect 12-0 record. As a freshman in 2011, Muhammad recorded 38 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and 0.5 sacks. Iowa Western was 9-2 in 2011, and ended the season ranked No. 7 in the final NJCAA national poll. He played for head coach Scott Strohmeier at Iowa Western. High School: As a high school senior at Central High School in St. Joseph, Mo., Muhammad earned First Team All-State, All-District and All-City honors. He played linebacker, running back and returned kicks. Muhammad rushed for more than 1,500 yards as a running back his senior season. He was also a team captain as a senior. As a junior, he rushed for more than 1,000 yards. He was a four-year letterman in football and track at Central High School, and played for head football coach Jeff Wallace. Personal: Born March 14, 1992, he is the son of Jamma and Marcell Jackson, Jr. He has one sibling -- his older brother Ghaali, who was a linebacker and running back at Wyoming from 2009-12. His cousin, Martin Rucker, was an outstanding tight end at Missouri from 2004-07. His cousin, Mike Rucker, was a talented defensive end, who played at Nebraska from 1995-98. Muhammad was also recruited by Colorado State, Nevada and Western Kentucky. He is pursuing a degree in social science at UW.
