Summary

Biography

UW This Season: After spring ball concluded, Crook manned the No. 4 spot at the defensive tackle position when the final depth chart was released.

2013: Crook added depth to the defensive line corps as a junior, but did not play in any games.

2012: Crook participated in UW spring drills during his first full semester with the Cowboy football team after being part of the Wyoming wrestling team during the 2011-12 season.

Prior to UW: Crook originally enrolled at Arizona State and after a redshirt year, decided to transfer to Wyoming to wrestle.

High School: Crook lettered twice in football at Box Elder High School. His senior year he was a team captain and recorded 56 tackles and five sacks. He also had a stellar prep wrestling career, compiling a record of 111-26 through four years of high school. He was a two-time Utah state champion, a two-time Utah All-Star, a team captain, and was named the 2010 Outstanding Wrestler. He also excelled in football, and was named honorable mention as a defensive end in his region.

Personal: Crook was born June 5, 1992, to Joel and Kathy Crook. He has two siblings, Ben and Alexandra. He received wrestling interest from Cal State Fullerton, Indiana and Utah Valley out of high school, and weighed offers from Pittsburgh, North Carolina and Kent State when he decided to transfer. He is pursuing a degree in sociology at UW.
