High School: A graduate of Tongue River High School. He was named the defensive MVP of the Wyoming Shrine Game with 17 tackles and an interception in the contest. As a senior, he rushed for over 1,500 yards and over 20 touchdowns. He led the state averaging over 240 yards of total offense per game. He led his team to the state title game as a senior.
