US 287 North to Laramie (approx. 65 miles), turn right onto Grand Avenue (3rd stoplight), turn left onto 22nd street (5th stoplight), turn left onto Willett Drive (1st stop sign), and turn right into museum parking lot.
From Rawlins, Wyoming (West)
I-80 East to Laramie (approx. 90 miles), exit onto Snow Range Road (2nd exit), turn left onto Snow Range Road, turn right onto 3rd Street (1st stoplight after overpass), turn left onto Grand Avenue (2nd stoplight), turn left onto 22nd street (5th stoplight), turn left onto Willett Drive (1st stop sign), and turn right into museum parking lot.
From Casper, Wyoming (North)
US 220 S (approx. 20 miles), turn left onto US 487 E to Medicine Bow (approx. 70 miles), turn left onto US 30 to Laramie (approx. 50 miles), turn left on Grand Ave. (4th stoplight), turn left onto 22nd street (5th stoplight), turn left onto Willett Drive (1st stop sign), and turn right into museum parking lot.
Parking:
Visitor parking permits allow visitors to park on campus for a limited time without cost. All parking regulations are enforced weekdays, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Permits are not needed after-hours or on weekends.
Parking permits are issued with these conditions:
- Visitors driving recreation vehicles (RVs) may not park on campus overnight. They may park on campus during the daytime hours only after notifying the UW Police Department (307) 766-5179.
- Visitors must supply license plate state and number information in order to secure a permit.
- Visitors must display the permit on the lower right side of the windshield. Permits allow visitors to park in A,C,E,F or visitor parking zones.
