Reed Copeland made 25 starts, totaling 104 sets during her junior season • She recorded 125 total blocks (1.20 bps) for second on the team • Her 1.20 blocks per set was seventh in the MW and 64th in the NCAA • Copeland was also fifth on the team with 202 kills (1.94 kps), and posted a hitting percentage of .312, which was seventh best in conference • Copeland tallied a season-high nine total blocks against UNLV (9/21/17) • In four separate matches she posted double-digits kills, with a season-high 14 kills against Boise State (10/7/17) • Copeland was joined by Marissa Harmon named to the All-Tournament Team at the Oral Roberts Invitational • She came into her junior season just outside the top-ten in blocks with 338. Copeland started in all 31 matches for the Brown and Gold during her sophomore campaign • After helping UW sweep through its sole nonconference tournament at home, Copeland was named the MVP of the UniWyo Invite • She opened MW play with 11 blocks against San Jose State (9/22) and added seven kills and three more blocks against Fresno State (9/24) to earn the first MW Defensive Player of the Week award on Sept. 26 • In helping defeat San Diego State, Copeland posted her career-high 19 kills and tied her career-best 13 blocks • It was the first double-double of her career • She recorded double-digit kills in five different matches • Copeland was third on the team with 213 kills (1.95 kps) • Copeland solidified herself as a staple atop the MW and NCAA in its defensive categories, as she finished second in the conference and 25th in the NCAA with 1.36 blocks per set • Her 148 total blocks not only led the team but was 28th in the NCAA and is tenth in single season history for UW • With 338 total career blocks, Copeland closed out her sophomore season just nine away from becoming tenth in career blocks at Wyoming.
Copeland had a very impactful freshman season for the Cowgirls starting in all but one match for UW and playing in 113 sets • Joined Jodi Purdy and Rachel Smith to be named the MW Freshman of the Year • Completed her rookie campaign at the top of the NCAA in total blocks and blocks per set and was the only freshman within the top-30 in both categories • Her 190 total blocks became a MW freshman record, while she was named the NCAA statistical champion for averaging 1.68 blocks per set • Made her collegiate debut against Ohio State (8/28/15), posting 12 blocks and four kills • Recorded four kills and ten blocks against Northern Colorado (9/12/15), and had 12 blocks and six kills at Nevada (10/3/15) • Had ten blocks and six kills against San Jose State (10/15/15), before a career-high 10 kills against Nevada (10/29/15) • She was one kill shy of her first double-double at Fresno State (11/18/15) • Finished the match with nine kills and a career-high 13 blocks, which tied the MW record for a freshman in a single conference match • Recorded 11 blocks and six kills against Colorado State (11/24/15) to end her freshman season • Totaled 138 kills, in addition to her team-leading 190 blocks • Set the MW Freshman record for blocks with 121 total in conference play • Led Wyoming in blocks in 23 of the 30 matches and recorded double-figures six times during her first season • Earned Academic All-Mountain West honors.
High School
A four-time letterwinner during her career in volleyball • Selected as the MVP of the League in 2014 while being named a team captain • Her team finished the season as the SPSL League Champions • Led the league in kills and blocks per set and overall in each of those categories • Coached by Pat Taitano and played for the Puget Sound Volleyball Club.
