2018-19: Turned in another impressive season as a redshirt sophomore, going 31-10 overall with a 16-3 dual mark … Scored 56 dual points for the Pokes in his 19 starts … Led the Cowboys in dual takedowns with 52 … Recorded a career-high 10 wins over ranked opponents … Also added two technical falls and seven major decisions … Big 12 finalist at 133 pounds, recording a 6-3 win over Iowa State’s 10th-ranked Austin Gomez in the semis to advance to his first career Big 12 title match where he came up just short to No. 2 Daton Fix of Oklahoma State … Qualifed for his second NCAA Championships, seeded as the No. 12 seed at 133 … Won 15-straight bouts from Dec. 29 to March 10 … Finished sixth at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational, going 5-3 on the weekend … Finished third in his division at the Journeymen Classic … Took first at the season-opening Cowboy Open … Took down No. 14 Matthew Schmitt of West Virginia in the Cowboys’ rout of the Mountaineers … Defeated 12th-ranked Korbin Myers of Virginia Tech at CKLV … Named to the Academic All-Big 12 first team.

2017-18: Had a breakout season as a redshirt freshman, going 35-7 overall on the way to his first career All-America honor … First-time NCAA qualifier, being selected as the No. 8 seed at 133 pounds … Advanced to the quarterfinals before coming up short to eventual national champion Seth Gross of South Dakota State … Defeated No. 5 John Erneste of Missouri, 5-4, in blood rounds to clinch All-America status … Eventually finished eighth … Finished third at the Big 12 Championships, going 3-1 and defeating Matt Schmitt in the third-place match … Recorded nine wins over ranked foes, including an 11-10 decision over No. 3 Kaid Brock of Oklahoma State in the dual against the Cowboys … Knocked off No. 4 Josh Terao of Liberty and No. 19 Zach Sherman of North Carolina at the Carolina Duals on the way to Big 12 Wrestler of the Week honors … Took first at the Reno Tournament of Champions, defeating eventual All-American and No. 26 Tariq Wilson of NC State, 10-4, in the finals … Went 4-2 at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invite … Took second at the Cowboy Open falling to Northern Colorado’s Rico Montoya in the finals, but bounced back the following weekend with a win over Montoya in the finals of the Northern Colorado Open … Named to the first team of the Academic All-Big 12 squad … Also named to the NWCA All-Academic Team.

2016-17: Bridges opened the 2016-17 season with seven straight victories for the Brown and Gold. He won the Cowboy Open and took second place at the UNC Open. He then went on to capture the Northwest Open title. In his first 14 wins, ten of them were bonus point victories. Bridges placed second at the Bob Smith Open with a 4-1 record. In late April, Bridges was one of three Pokes to place at the UWW Junior Nationals. He took third at 60 KG and totaled eight wins in a row following a first round loss to 2016 UWW World Silver medalist V. Arujau of New York.

High School: 
Bridges is a two-time High School All-America selection and a four-time placer at the Oklahoma State Championships. He placed fourth at the Fargo Junior Freestyle and seventh at the USA Wrestling Folkstyle Nationals. Bridges was a two-time state champ, a three-time Oklahoma National Dual Team member and four-time Geary Champion. His high school record was an impressive 175-9.

Personal: 
Montorie is the son of Ulysees III and Christie Bridges. He was born in Altus, Okla., and is studying criminal justice at UW.
