2016-17: Polson saw action in three different weight classes during the 2016-17 season. A majority of his matches were at 165 or 174 for the Brown and Gold. He was able to get off to a hot start at the Cowboy Open, where he posted a 5-2 record. He also took part in the Cliff Keen Invite and Reno Tournament of Champions. Polson competed in four duals for UW and finished the year with an 8-10 overall mark with one tech fall and major decision.
2015-16: Polson had an impressive season with the Cowboys as he ended the year after the Big 12 Championships with an 18-13 record with four pins, eight tech falls and two major decisions. He got off to a hot start with a 6-1 record and overall sported a dual record of 3-4 on the season and went 7-6 against Big 12 opponents.
2014-15: Polson had a strong redshirt season finishing his first year with the Cowboys on a high note. He sported a 12-9 overall record appearing in five tournaments. He recorded two pins, five technical falls and one major decision. He placed third at the Utah Valley Open with a mark of 4-1.
2013-14: Polson racked up 13 wins in his redshirt season, and placed in three open tournaments throughout the year. After an up-and-down start, he posted 10 wins in his last four events. He was fifth in the UNK Holiday Inn Open, and made the title match in both the Viking-Warrior Open and U.S. Western National Open. Of his 13 wins, eight came via bonus points. He had three falls, three technical falls and two major decisions. He wrestled in the ASICS Junior National Championships in April 2014, going 1-2 at 74 kilograms (163 pounds).
High School: Polson was a two-sport standout for Valor Christian High in Highlands Ranch. He was the team leader in takedowns all four years in wrestling and was a two-time team captain. He finished sixth at state wrestling as a junior and was the state runner-up as a senior. He also was a member of Valor Christian's four-time state champion football team, was named a team captain as a senior and was Honorable Mention All-State.
Personal: Born in Denver, Colo, he is the son of Chuck and Shalon Polson. He has two siblings, Chalcey and Payton. His father Chuck Polson played linebacker at Wyoming from 1993-96.
