Career Stats Career Statistics Biography Summary Biography UW This Season: Nzeocha finished spring drills as the top strongside linebacker on the final depth chart. 2013: Nzeocha became a major force for the Cowboy defense as a junior. He was one of three Pokes to reach the century mark in tackles, finishing with 101. He was among the team leaders in tackles for loss (10) and shared the team lead with two forced fumbles. He added a sack and two pass breakups. He played well against Hawai'i with nine tackles, one sack, two TFLs and a PBU. He had 10 tackles against Boise State and finished the San Jose State game with 14 tackles, a forced fumble and 1.5 TFLs. He was named to the Academic All-Conference team for the second-straight season for his work in the classroom. 2012: Nzeocha started the first two games of the season at safety for the Pokes and played in 11 contests. He finished with 32 tackles and a forced fumble. He had three games with six tackles: versus Texas, Fresno State and San Diego State. He tallied his first career forced fumble versus Colorado State. Nzeocha was named to the Academic All-Mountain West team for keeping a 3.24 GPA in business administration. 2011: Nzeocha played in 10 games for the Cowboys. He began the season as the starter at a safety/linebacker spot. In his first five games, he recorded 14 tackles, one interception and two pass breakups. In his first career game, he notched four tackles and assisted on one tackle for loss. His best game of the season came against then-No. 9 Nebraska, recording four tackles and one pass breakup. He also intercepted his first career pass against Texas State. High School: With no football in his high school, Nzeocha played club football for the Franken Knights Youth Team in Germany. He was also a member of the German National Team that played in the 2009 Junior World Championship played in Canton, Ohio. Nzeocha was named to the all-tournament team at the 2009 Junior World Championship. Personal: Born Jan. 1, 1990, he is the son of Antonie Petersen and Chris Nzeocha. He has one older brother, Steve, and two younger brothers, Paul and Eric. He is joined on the roster by Eric, who is a receiver for the Pokes. Nzeocha was also recruited by Virginia. He is pursuing a degree in finance at UW.
