Career Stats Career Statistics Biography Summary Biography UW This Season: Shaun Wick will enter his redshirt senior season ranked No. 9 on the Wyoming career rushing list, with 2,179 career yards. He ranks eighth in career rushing touchdowns at Wyoming, with 20. He was granted a fifth year of eligibility by the NCAA in 2016 after missing the majority of the 2015 season due to a concussion. Wick returned to competition for 2016 spring practice, and enjoyed an outstanding spring. In the Spring Game, he rushed for 126 yards on 11 carries, scored three rushing touchdowns (28, 3 and 2 yards) and averaged 11.5 yards per carry. 2015: Wick played in four games with one start before suffering a concussion in the New Mexico game that would later result in his season coming to an end. He was a nominee for the Doak Walker Award to being the 2015 season. Wick rushed for 97 yards on 43 carries in 2015. He also caught five passes for 49 yards and one touchdown. He rushed for 76 yards on 20 carries with one touchdown against Eastern Michigan. Wick had three catches for 35 yards, including a 20-yard touchdown reception against New Mexico. For the season, he averaged 9.8 yards per reception. 2014: Wick appeared in nine games making eight starts. He missed three games with a broken hand before returning for the season finale versus New Mexico. Wick rushed for 753 yards on the season averaging 83.7 yards per game and scored six rushing touchdowns. He led the Cowboys with 134 rushing yards and a touchdown against Montana. Wick rushed for 122 yards at Oregon, including a 42-yard gallop. He had another 100-yard contest at Hawai’i, rushing for 121 yards and a touchdown. 2013: Wick had a breakout season as a sophomore, finishing with 979 yards and nine TDs on the ground. He fell just 21 yards shy of a 1,000-yard season. Wick averaged 81.6 yards per game from his running back spot, and posted the third-best rushing day in Cowboy history with 234 yards and a score against San Jose State. He finished the season with several notable performances, including 116 yards and two TDs versus New Mexico, two TDs and 55 rushing yards versus Air Force and 95 total yards and two TDs against Northern Colorado. 2012: In his true freshman season, Wick was the third-leading rusher for the Pokes. He led all UW running backs with 92 carries and four rushing touchdowns over 11 games. He tallied 60 or more rushing yards in three games: 64 versus Cal Poly, 79 versus Air Force and 98 versus Colorado State. He added 11 catches for 87 yards. Versus Cal Poly, Wick scored three rushing touchdowns, a season-high mark for UW. Wick finished the season with 350 rushing yards, and was second on the team in rushing average per game with 31.8 yards per contest. High School: Wick was named to the All-CIF Southern Section North Division team at the conclusion of his senior season. Cal-Hi Sports selected him as a Fourth Team All-State Multi-Purpose performer as both a running back and defensive back. He also earned First Team All-Ventura County in voting by area coaches and was named First Team All-County by the Ventura County Star. Wick was voted the Marmonte League Offensive Back of the Year. His senior season, he rushed for 1,271 yards on 133 carries and scored 15 rushing touchdowns and returned one punt for a TD. He also caught 22 passes out of the backfield for 183 yards, and was credited with 84 tackles and intercepted two passes as a defensive back. Wick helped lead St. Bonaventure High to a 10-3 record and the semifinals of the CIF playoffs. His junior season, he carried the ball 131 times for 1,219 yards and 15 rushing TDs. He added six receptions for 82 yards and caught one touchdown pass, while recording 74 tackles on defense. He earned All-County and All-League honors his junior season as St. Bonaventure posted an 11-2 record before being stopped in the CIF semifinals. His sophomore season, St. Bonaventure went 11-2, advancing to the first of three consecutive semifinals in the CIF playoffs. He had 46 carries for 412 yards and scored four rushing touchdowns as a sophomore, while adding 47 tackles on defense. His freshman season St. Bonaventure won the CIF Division 3 state championship. He was timed at 10.9 seconds in the 100 meters. Personal: Born June 30, 1993, he is the son of Marbella and Eric Wick. He has one younger brother, Chucky. His father played football at Santa Barbara City College, and a cousin, Mark McGrath, played at Montana State and later for the Washington Redskins and Seattle Seahawks. Wick was also recruited by Colorado State, Fresno State, Hawai’i, Nevada, Oregon State and San Diego State. He is pursuing a degree in social science at UW.
