Game Recap: Women's Soccer | | Bud Denega
CHENEY, Washington (9/6/26) – Eastern Washington entered its home match against the University of Wyoming soccer team on Sunday unbeaten and having only given up one goal on the season. The Cowgirls did a bunch of damage to both of those narratives.

The Pokes shut out the Eagles, 2-0, to improve to 5-2-0 on the season and stretch their win streak to three games. Eastern Washington fell to 5-1-0 on the year.

"It was a full weekend of competing and getting back to our defensive ways," head coach Josh Purdum said. "We knew they were going to be fresh with having the week off. We knew they were going to run at us and use the ball well and they certainly did in the first half. That's a really good team. They deserved to be undefeated up until us.

"Those are the challenges we need to face leading up to conference."

Erin Dahl opened the scoring with her first-career goal in the 20th minute. She made a long run on a counterattack following an Eagles' corner. Alyssa Glover found Dahl, giving Glover 57 career points, just one behind second all-time in program history.

Alisa Bunn doubled up Wyoming's lead in the 27th minute. She fired one into the back of the net off a pass from Hadley Linder. It represents Bunn's second score of the season, joining Glover, Maddie Burr and Isabel Vasco as the Cowgirls with multiple goals in 2026.

Speaking of scoring depth, Dahl was the seventh different Wyoming player to net a score this season. That matches the number of goal scorers the Pokes had all of last year.

Wyoming goalkeeper, Haley Bartel, made three saves for her fourth shutout of the season. She now has 22 career clean sheets, further distancing her as the all-time shutouts leader in school history.

For the game, the Cowgirls outshot the Eagles, 24-11, and, 11-3, in shots on target. Glover had a game-high five shots.

Wyoming remains on the road next week. It travels to Montana on Friday for a 7 p.m. match.
