BOULDER, Colorado (9/29/26) – The University of Wyoming men's golf team completed Day 1 of the Mark Simpson Colorado Invite on Tuesday. The Cowboys are 16th in a tournament being played at Boulder Country Club.

"Our young and inconsistent team didn't play well this morning, but we played a little better in the second round," head coach Joe Jensen said. "It's a solid field and a difficult golf course and we just lacked a little composure. We made a halftime adjustment, a little conversation, and then we played better. I anticipate we'll play better tomorrow."

Long Beach State leads the way at 538 (-22). Arkansas State is second at 541 (-19) and Colorado third at 547 (-13). The Red Wolves' Henry Styles is atop the individual leaderboard at 127 (-13).

Brody Leid led the charge for Wyoming. He shares 39th place after a two-round total of 141 (+1). Leid opened with a 73 (+3) and closed much stronger with a 68 (-2) that was comprised of five birdies.

Kellen Ball is tied for 67th following a Tuesday total score of 145 (+5). He fired a 74 (+4) in Round 1 and a 71 (+1) in Round 2.

Brody Knowlton shares 77th at 147 (+7). He carded an opening-round 75 (+5) and a second-round 72 (+2).

Conner Scheich is tied for 89th after a two-round total of 150 (+10). He recorded a 72 (+2) followed by a 78 (+8).

Austin Barry is positioned in 93rd at 152 (+12) after rounds of 82 (+12) and 70 (E). Jack Newton, who's playing as an individual, is tied for 89th at 150 (+10). He logged a 73 (+3) and a 77 (+7).

The third and final round gets underway on Wednesday at 7:30 a.m.
