LARAMIE, WYO. (Sept. 25, 2026) – Wyoming swimming & diving will open the 2026-27 season following one of the most successful years by hosting the intrasquad Brown vs. Gold meet at 9 a.m. MT, Saturday, at the new Wyoming Aquatic Center in Laramie, Wyo.

Wyoming swim and dive is coming off a season where it sent six members to the NCAA Championship, the most in program history. With four returning from the championship bunch, a recruiting class with elite talent and a loaded transfer class, this makes the 2026-27 season one with high expectations.

The program also opens the new Wyoming Aquatic Center, a 50-meter, 10-lane pool with a separate diving well with accommodations for 1-meter and 3-meter springboard and 3-meter and 5-meter platform diving. As the new home of Cowboy and Cowgirl swimming and diving, the facility holds all lockers for the team, a fueling station and meeting rooms. A full video tour can be found here.

While the pool is brand new to competition, records will already be set. Friday evening will be the Brown, Gold & Old alumni meet. The event will serve as the grand opening of the pool. Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, alumni will get a first crack at setting pool records. One thing is for sure: records will be set.
