FORT COLLINS, Colo. (Sept. 19, 2026) – The Wyoming Cowgirls had a strong day on the courts on day two of the Jon Messick Invitational hosted by Colorado State. The Cowgirls picked up five singles wins and a doubles victory on the day.

Anastasiia Kochelaevskaia's 6-1 and 6-1 victory over CSU's Sorcha Caves in Flight A's semifinals headlines the UW singles effort. Kochelaevskaia advances to Sunday's final in the flight against Air Force's Chaeyule Kang. In Flight D, Ivona Ridan and Dilnaz Mashabayeva both won their matches to advance to the final but will not face one another in Sunday's match. Ridan won her matchup with CSU's Logan Voeks, 6-4 and 6-0. Mashabayeva's victory came 6-1, 6-0 over Johanna Roggenkamp of Air Force.

Wyoming also picked up a win from Eugenia Ceinos in Flight C. Ceinos won 6-4, 4-6 and 10-8 in the third set super set over Dylan Voeks of Colorado State. Ruby Young earned the other victory for UW on the day, as she defeated Zaria McGinty of CSU, 7-5 and 6-2.

The Cowgirls' doubles win came from the team of Mashabayeva and Madlena Orlova. The tandem defeated the Air Force duo 6-4 Saturday.

UW will close its opening tournament of the fall Sunday at 9 a.m.
