LARAMIE, Wyoming (9/17/26) – University of Wyoming wrestling head coach
Mark Branch released his 2026-27 schedule on Thursday. The Cowboys are set to compete in 14 duals and four tournaments.
The season commences at home against Western Wyoming on Nov. 1. The Pokes then take to the road for duals at Nebraska (Nov. 6), Stanford (Nov. 14) and Oregon State (Nov. 22).
Wyoming then transitions to its invitational season. Some of the roster will participate in the Cliff Keen Invite (Dec. 4-5) and the Reno Tournament of Champions (Dec. 20). The starters will go at the National Duals Invitational (Dec. 12-13) and the Soldier Salute Tournament (Jan. 2-3).
The Cowboys return to dual action on Jan. 8 by hosting Arizona State. Four of the next seven duals are also in Laramie. The Pokes battle Utah Valley (Jan. 22), West Virginia (Jan. 29), South Dakota State (Jan. 31) and Missouri (Feb. 6) inside the UniWyo Sports Complex. The remaining road duals include Northern Iowa (Jan. 15), Iowa State (Jan. 17), Air Force (Jan. 24), Oklahoma State (Feb. 12) and Oklahoma (Feb. 14).
"I like our schedule mostly because of the home schedule we are bringing for the 2027-28 season," Branch said. "We have a veteran and seasoned team, so we are going to challenge ourselves against some of the best teams in the country. When all the dust settles, I have no doubt our schedule will rank as one of the toughest, but our men our up for it.
"This will prepare them well for March."
The Big 12 Championships are March 5-6 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The NCAA Championships take place in St. Louis, Missouri, from March 18-20.
