Cowgirls Announce Full 2026-27 Slate

LARAMIE, Wyo. (Sept. 15, 2025) – The Wyoming Cowgirls have announced their full slate for the upcoming 2026-27 women's basketball season.

Wyoming will have 15 regular season home dates this season and a pair of exhibition contests in October. Those exhibitions open the 26th as Colorado Christian comes to Laramie. South Dakota Mines will be the second exhibition on the 30th.

The Cowgirls tip-off the regular season November 2 against Santa Clara. UW also hosts Missouri State (Nov. 7), UT Arlington (Nov. 10), Harvard (Nov. 22), Regis (December 2) and Idaho (Dec. 12) in the non-conference slate. Notable road contests for the Cowgirls feature a trip this season for the Border War with Colorado State Nov. 13. Wyoming will also travel to face 2026 NCAA Tournament participant South Dakota State Nov. 18 and travel to Colorado Dec. 6. UW will also play a Thanksgiving Week tournament this season, as it will head to UC Irvine for the ZotGiving Classic where it will face Utah State and Jacksonville State on the 27th and 28th, respectively.

Conference play opens with a pair of road trips this season beginning with Air Force Dec. 30 before facing Nevada January 2. The Cowgirls' home Mountain West-opener is Jan. 6 as new full Mountain West member Hawai'i comes to the Arena-Auditorium Jan. 6. Perennial MW power UNLV comes to town for a Jan. 9 contest.

Jan. 13 and 16 features road trips out to new Mountain West foe UC Davis and then to Grand Canyon. The following week features home matchups with another new league member, UTEP, Jan. 20 before Wyoming hosts New Mexico Jan. 23. The Cowgirls close the month of January with a trip to San Jose State on the 27th and UNLV the 30th.

February begins with home contests against Nevada Feb. 3 and UC Davis Feb. 6. The Cowgirls' final back-to-back road trips of the season begins Feb. 13 at UTEP and Feb. 17 at New Mexico. Wyoming closes the regular season with 3-of-4 games at home beginning Feb. 20 with Air Force coming to town. After a trip to the island to face Hawai'i on the 24th, UW hosts its final two games at home with Grand Canyon Feb. 27, and Senior Night will be March 2 against San Jose State.
