Men’s Golf Improves to 13th Place on Final Day of Ram Masters Invite

FORT COLLINS, Colorado (9/11/26) – The University of Wyoming men's golf team wrapped up play at the Ram Masters Invite on Friday. The Cowboys moved up to take 13th as a team with a final tally of 880 (+40) in a tournament played at Fort Collins Country Club.

"We played better today," head coach Joe Jensen said. "Brody played great, and it was a really good event for him. As a group, we have some things to work on. We have to get to work. It was the first event of the year, and now we know some of the things we can clean up. We learned where we are at. We know we are better than how we played."

San Francisco won the team title at 849 (+9). The Dons' Nils Svanberg claimed the individual crown at 202 (-8).

Brody Leid continued his strong play on Friday, as he paced the Pokes wire to wire. He finished with a 70 (E), comprised of four birdies, to place in a tie for 11th.

Austin Barry shared 67th place at 223 (+13). He closed with a 74 (+4) that had an eagle on the card.

Kellen Ball recorded a Round 3 score of 72 (+2). He ended with a three-round total of 224 (+14) to tie for 69th.

Conner Scheich shared 73rd at 225 (+15). He fired a 74 (+4) in the third round.  

Brody Knowlton concluded his tournament with a 79 (+9) to tie for 87th at 230 (+20). His Friday was highlighted by his second eagle in as many days.

Jack Newton, who was playing as an individual, took 91st at 238 (+28). He closed with an 82 (+12).

Wyoming remains on the Front Range next weekend. It travels to the Gene Miranda Falcon Invite from Sept. 19-21.
