EUGENE, Ore. (June 9, 2026) – Cowboy senior Ryker Holtzen will represent Wyoming in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, Wednesday, in Eugene, Ore.

Holtzen qualified for a return trip to the NCAA Championships after winning his heat at the NCAA West First Round. With a time of 8:36.81, he crossed the line first in heat three and picked up a big "Q" to advance to TrackTown, USA.

Wednesday will be the running of the steeplechase semifinal with the Top 5 finishers in each heat moving on, plus the two next best times. Holtzen will race in heat one in position two.

If he advances to Friday's final, Holtzen will look to repeat as an All-American after placing 15th in the 2025 with Second-Team honors.
